Hello! I'm Layne.
I'm a fiber artist and design enthusiast living in Seattle, WA. I live with my three cats in a one bedroom apartment on Capitol Hill. I enjoy macrame, thrifting, managing my little Etsy shop, reading, and pretty much everything about the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
My blog is called The Room Journal because I started it in 2012 to share the process of decorating my first home, a 1928 Craftsman Bungalow in Springfield, MO. Since then, I've moved across the country and edited my life down to just the essentials (I consider vintage decor an essential), so the blog has evolved a bit too.
